Charleston: Zero George

If you have been following me on Instagram this past month then you may have noticed I visited Charleston a few weekends back.  Charleston has always been one of those places I have dreamed of visiting. I’ll be honest, besides wanting to experience the southern charm that I have heard so much about, I really feel in love with the idea of a town filled with pink houses, beautiful shutters and wrap around porches.

When searching for a place for my husband and I to stay on our weekend getaway, the hotel that continued to catch my eye on social media and online reviews was the Zero George Boutique Hotel. I have stayed my fair share of hotel chains in my life but there is something always so special when you experience a one of a kind boutique hotel.

The Ritz Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes

Just a few short weeks ago, over the holiday season, my family and I went to Orlando for a quick two day trip. As a result of having a father that is somewhat Disney obsessed, throughout the years we have visited the happiest place on earth more times than I can actually count. When my dad excitedly called me one day this past fall to let me know that we would be spending a few days in Orlando, I was of course excited to re-live some of my fondest childhood memories but I have to admit…I wasn’t so keen on staying in Disney. Instead, I wanted a less ‘park like hotel’ and more of  a calm and relaxing holiday. When the opportunity to work with the The Ritz Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes was presented, I knew that both my dad’s needs (I swear he isn’t 10 years old in all aspects of his life) and my requests were going to be met at this breathtaking resort!

Naples: Inn On Fifth

For the past few years, my family and I have been spending the holiday season in Naples, Florida. If you have not been to Southwest Florida, I recommend booking a one way flight at your next opportunity. My family and I are fortunate to have a place to stay when we visit this cute beach town and as much as there is enough room for our expanding family, it is nice escape and getaway during the holiday season (even if only for a few nights) with my husband.

Thankfully, when presented the opportunity to stay at the Inn on Fifth just last week in Naples, Florida, I jumped at the chance for some rest and relaxation away from the commotion of siblings, babies, parents and everything in between!

Azulik Tulum

Traveling continues to be one of my biggest interests. For me, exploring a new location, trying new food and learning about a different culture continues to change my outlook and perspective on life. Thankfully, traveling is also one of my husbands main interests too! We continue to search for new countries, new cities and exotic islands regularly…. all with a hope that we will be able to visit one day. Although our forever growing list changes periodically, there are a few locations that always rank high and seem not to move from the top…..one place being Tulum, Mexico.

London, England

Just over a week ago, I took a quick trip across the pond to spend quality time with some of my closest girlfriends….all of whom I have not seen in over a year. Although it has been a while since I have been to the city of the royal family, now that I have recently returned, I am having a difficult time not booking a one way flight back.  I have been fortunate to have visited London a few times prior, therefore, I decided during this most recent trip, to skip the tourist attractions (although I do highly recommend) and instead try to experience London like a local….or my interpretation of a local at least!

Fairmont Mayakoba

Just over a week ago, I had the pleasure of visiting Mexico for the very first time…..and let’s just say it most definitely won’t be the last.  When my husband and I go on a holiday, where we decide to call our ‘home away from home‘ is very important to us.  After researching online where we would like to stay, the Fairmont Mayakoba immediately caught my attention amongst the long list of beautiful resorts. Whether it was the 240 acres of tropical forest that is intersected by crystal clear waterways or the private beach access straight to the Caribbean shoreline……I knew the Fairmont Mayakoba had my name all over it!
